IN-PERSON CLASSES
When creating any kind of art choosing colours and shapes can be tricky. In this episode of Art Journal Adventure we will work with a limited palette of acrylic paints and a range of mark-making techniques to create an abstract background. We will finish our pages with bold focal images and wording. Every episode we do is a stand alone workshop so you can join in anytime. If you are new to Art Journal Adventure you will need the Dina Wakley white 6″x 6″ media journal along with some basic art journaling supplies. You can buy them as a kit from Crop A While .
Please bring the following: Art Journal Adventure Kit, 2 water jars, scissors, paper towel, wet wipes, glue stick, patterned or word stencils, a white ink pad if you have one
Optional but helpful: heat tool, clips to hold pages down, quotes or alphabet stamps, text or background stamps, extra mixed media paint-brushes, sponges or palette knife.

Embossing folders are very versatile tools for the card maker. Join me to try a range of techniques with traditional and 3D embossing folders. After experimenting we will turn three embossed panels into cards.
Please bring the following: water spritzer, paper trimmer, versamark ink pad, scissors, paper towel, wet wipes, glue or adhesives, sentiment stamps, die-cutting machine, embossing folders if you have some
Optional but helpful: heat tool, oxide ink pads or sprays, dye ink pads, solid floral dies, sanding block, clear embossing powder

Hi I also would love an online class and from Wisconsin in the USA. I know the cost is more plus getting the money there and the cards back here is expensive and take awhile but I might try it at least once to see.

Any plans for classes in the spring with the new Penny Black “So Special” floral Slapstick Clings?
Hi Shirley, I will be including some of the new Slapstick cling stamps in upcoming classes starting either March or April.
Look forward to them! I will keep an eye open for the April classes. I will be driving from Toronto and since March weather can be unpredictable it will be safer for me to think April. I attended two of your classes at Bizzy B’s in Toronto a year or so ago. Unfortunately as you probably know Bizzy B closed last summer.

Just attended another fabulous class with Heather. For this class she showed us how you can make stunning backgrounds/cards using only 3 primary colours of brusho watercolour powders. The results were wonderful, and now I can go back to my old stamps and use them in many different ways. If I come away with 1 good idea from a class I think it was well worth it, but this class we learnt numerous ideals thus making the class priceless. I have already signed up for her next class!

Just attended Heather’s latest class making bright and colourful cards using Darkroom Door stamps. We had a great time and the cards we made-Priceless! I would highly recommend taking one of her classes. I live in Belleville and the drive to and back is over 6 hours, but it is totally worth it. If you are from out of town, grab a friend, stay over night and have a fabulous girl’s weekend in Ottawa!
