Using stamps to create the look of a watercolour painting is a popular technique for card makers these days. In this class we will use distress inks and Penny Black stamps to create three ‘no-line watercolour’ panels which we will pair with the embossed cardstock to create elegant hand painted cards for any occasion.
Please bring the following: adhesive, dimensional adhesive, paper trimmer, impermeable craft mat to use as a palette, water jar
Optional but helpful: MISTI or stamp positioning tool, distress inks (not oxide), versamark ink pad
I have had to cancel my June classes but will post new dates for the above class once they are finalised.
I am planning to offer a day time Let’s Start Lettering class in September. Please use the CONTACT button to let me know if you are interested
Have you wanted to try brush lettering but don’t know where to start? Come and join me at Crop A While for three 2-hour sessions in February. This is a beginner class using the materials developed by Kelly Klapstein (AKA Kelly Creates). In this class I will take you through the basic strokes of brush lettering, how to form letters from basic strokes and then join them all into words. To make the most of this class there will be a week between sessions so you can practice what you have learnt. You will receive a kit including the brush lettering workbook, practice paper, pencil and black markers. I will demonstrate all the steps (with a big screen!), work along side you and provide tips and tricks to help you master and enjoy brush lettering.
