Botanical Thank You cards

Recently a friend asked me to make her ten thank you cards. I decided to make them using a few botanical gel prints. Some prints were quite large, featuring several flowers or leaves on one large sheet of copy paper or rice paper. The cards above were from a print taken with dark green and cream paints so I added green mats and sentiments on cream card bases. I love printing plants; the detail possible always amazes me. So, as I use up these prints from another summer, I feel the need to pull out the gel plates and print some of the many flowers and leaves within reach this summer.

The cards below were prints of Queen Anne’s lace printed with black and picked up with gold paint. Again I used cream card bases and black or gold sentiments.

The last batch of co-ordinated cards were leaves and lavender in blue and black paint, lifted with white paint so I added blue sentiments and attached everything to white card bases.

You can find techniques for gel printing plants and many other things in my Gel Print Journey online class and use the coupon SUMMERSALE for a 25% discount. You can also find a playlist of gel printing videos I’ve made on my youtube channel.

LOVE that first batch in particular! I realize they are thank you notes, but I seriously with delete the text as these look like they should be framed!

Heather, these are beautiful series of cards.

They convey a sense of calm sincerity which would be very welcome to receive, and to frame as keepsakes.

Hi. Heather. This is Tish Rowe. I thought I signed up for your gel printing class. I put in summersale. Then I put in my email address and saw where I could log in. So,, I pressed log in. Then this site took me immediately to the class and videos. I am thinking that somehow I bypassed the pay part. Or maybe this is an older class I signed up for but did not complete. Either way, I want to make sure that I am in class and that I did not skip paying. I value your work very much and love to see your tutorials. Many times I search through them for ideas.

Glad to see this current post. Let me know if I did something incorrectly. Then we correct!!

The gel prints are something I want to try but can’t get myself organized to figure out what to print. Thanks a bunch. Tish in South Carolina
