Berry speckled Christmas

I am happy to be sharing this card over on The Foiled Fox blog today. I used a combination of distress markers to colour the berry branches first then, once they were dry, I clear embossed over the top so they would resist the masking fluid I splattered and the sky I painted next. The process is described in detail over on the Foiled Fox blog so pop over and check it out.
This was definitely a project where a stamp positioner came in handy to do all the colouring first and embossing after.
Supplies
Stamps: berry speckled, sweetest moments
Inks: forest moss distress ink, versamark
Distress Markers: festive berries, frayed burlap, gathered twig, barn door, forest moss
Paper: Neenah solar white cardstock, hot pressed watercolour paper
Also: stamping platform, masking fluid, WOW clear gloss superfine embossing powder
Love the classic look of this card. Your colors are beautiful.
Just wonderful! Of note, maybe your heat embossing was just fine. A while back, read of a technique, (maybe yours!) of embossing over distress inks, and using water to have the colors bleed out from underneath. Nice effect, anyway. Thanks for tutorial, as usual.
This is just so lovely Heather. It’s beginning to feel Christmassy here now as the temperatures plummet. This card reminds me that there is so much beauty to be found in Winter. Thanks.
Such a pretty card! Thank you ! Mari

Love this card!! Thanks for sharing it and your methods!
I adore these beautifully coloured berry filled branches Heather, a gorgeous wintry card and what a great idea to colour and then emboss to give a resist before finishing the background. x
Another very lovely card!
Are you going to present an Australian Christmas card?
I received my first Christmas greeting yesterday and now getting mine organized in batches.
Your cards now have Christmas postage on them. They will go in the post next week.
Another hot and humid day today.
Stephen’s birthday tomorrow.
Love to all.
