Roses & Poppies

Poppies are a favourite flower of mine but then so are roses and tulips and of course daffodils and I can’t forget sweet little pansies or gorgeous blue cornflowers. The poppies above have a matching die. I once again stamped in watersoluble brown ink so I could blend it with the pink and green stains I painted into the outline image.
Supplies:
Stamps: Playful, Sentiment Collection (PB)
Inks: Vintage photo ink, Seedless Preserves, Bundled Sage, Mowed Lawn distress stains, Black Soot, Mustard Seed marker (Ranger) Vintage Sepia (Tsukineko)
Cardstock: Fabriano 100% cotton hot pressed watercolour paper, brown cardstock
The roses are from a transparent set, Gentle Day, which includes a couple more flowers, a bird/flower collage and a few sentiments. Make sure you take a moment to enter the give away on the Penny Black blog before it ends on February 28th.; you could pick up some of these new flowers for yourself.
Thanks for dropping in today. Do you have a favourite flower? Do you have one you love as a fresh flower but a different one you like to stamp or paint?

Beautiful flower cards Heather!!! My favorite flower is the cymbidium orchid…because they are delicate, come in many colors, and last a long time in the house. Any and every flower pleases my eyes – even some of the ‘weeds’ – LOL!
Thank you for sharing your talent!
Paper Hugs,
Jan
I looked up the cymbicium orchid and I can see why you like it. It is very elegant.
Heather, these are both so beautiful! I so love your watercoloring, and these new stamps are gorgeous! I love each of them! Stunning! Hugs, sweet friend, and thanks for being an enabler! 🙂
So gorgeous Heather! Such an inspiration.
I don’t think I’ve seen a flower I didn’t like! These 2 are beauties!
They are both so beautiful!
These are fabulous Heather and all flowers are naturally beautiful but I particularly love poppies en masse and beautiful blousy roses. Personally I much prefer to see flowers growing than in a vase because as soon as they are cut they start to die which I think is sad. x
beautiful, love your stamping
WOW, the second card is my favorite!
What lovely colours for these flowers! I like how nicely the images and flowers fit together.
Gorgeous cards, Beautiful coloring!
Gorgeous coloring! You are so talented!
