Moonlit branch
Posted: September 9, 2012 Filed under: CAS, Hoot of a Time, Penny Black 14 CommentsAlthough this stamp is from one of Penny Black’s new Halloween sets I thought the delicate branches were too pretty to dedicate only to spooky scenes. I avoided inking the three bats and created a moonlit branch instead. To achieve the moonlit edge on the branches I used the same technique I have mentioned before when creating snow laden trees and branches. I stamp the branch twice, once in versamark and then ever so slightly lower in black, then emboss it all in clear before sponging.
Thanks for dropping by. I hope you have a great week.
Supplies:
Stamps: Wishes, Hoot of a Time (PB)
Inks: Memento Danube Blue, Ladybug Red,Versafine Onyx Black, Versamark(Tsukineko)
Also: clear embossing powder

I LOVE this Heather! Especially using Memento Danube Blue, so rich & striking. These branches are the coolest. I’m going to have to try this someday. TFS! xo, Marian
Great effect using the ladybug with the blue. Lovely card, as always, and TFS

What a beautifully delicate branch Heather, with fantastic inking as ever.

I love that colour combination for the sky, and how your double stamping technique works just as well for moonlight as it does for snow. Fabulous card.
What an absolutely stunning card! I must try your clever technique one day soon, because this is fabulous! TFS
Your card is beautiful – love this technique! Thanks so much!!
Wow, Heather! That is just stunning! I love it!
Wonderful card! I like the new tree stamp and the stamping technique makes for a great look. Since I’m a fairly new follower, I had not read about this technique before. I’m glad to know of it. I will definitely be trying it. 🙂
I do like when a seasonal stamp can be multi-purposed! This is beautiful, a not-at-all scary scene. 🙂
Your work is beautiful.
Wonderfully atmospheric Heather!
YUM!!!!! Beautiful Heather! TFS!
