Time with a friend
Posted: April 11, 2012 Filed under: CAS, Flamboyant, Penny Black 14 CommentsThe inspiration for this card is the stunning inside panel of a card by Teneale Williams. Hers has more definition and gorgeous colour; mine is a shabby chic version!
My background colour was applied with a brayer this time after I masked the panel with post-it notes. The floral stamp is Flamboyant from Penny Black and was inked with markers. There is also a faint impression of the Letter background stamp and the sentiment from the Penny Black transparent set Gratitude. To finish I dropped some water here and there.
Thank you again for dropping in here, I appreciate your visits and enjoy all your comments and encouragement.
Another beauty, Heather! I admire how beautifully you can sponge a background, but your talents with a brayer really are beyond belief. 🙂
Lovely! TFS 😉
This is so gorgeous! You and Teneale Williams are both amazing!
Just stunning! What a fabulous color combo!!
Gorgeous! I love the colors you’ve used here.
It’s beautiful, Heather. Love the stamps and I love the colours you used, too
Hi Heather – I’ve been catching up with your creations and as usual love everything! Brayering has added another dimension to your work – I really like the light effects you can achieve with brayering and sponging together. Your LiM card has such depth. You have a great eye for colour too and the blue and green here as well as the plum and green of the previous card are just gorgeous. Hope you had a good Easter, Vicky x
PS Very much enjoyed your son’s lego trailer and will share it with my three.
It’s beautiful, Heather. Love the colours you used.
Beautiful Heather and the sentiment is very true.
Lovely greet

Beautiful Heather, love the colour and the stamps. I didn’t get round to commenting on your previous card which I absolutely loved! The colours were so pretty and I loved the stamp.

Beautiful card! I’m so excited to find someone else that uses sponged (or brayered) backgrounds. I’m still a novice, but love this technique. I can see that I’ll learn a lot from you!
I’m so happy that I found your blog!
