Baby Boy

img_3252card9.jpg

I had fun creating this bright, new baby boy card and now I just need to wait for a new baby boy, so I can give it away!

Supplies:

Stamps: By Land, Hugs and Wishes, Headline Alphabet
Ink: Brilliant Blue, Real Red, Yoyo Yellow, Glorious Green , Gable Green, Basic Black
Cardstock: Whisper White, Real Red, Yoyo Yellow, Glorious Green , Gable Green
Also: Bold bright brads

More Paisley

img_3251card7.jpgAs I mentioned yesterday I am enjoying using the Polka dots and Paisley set. The paisley stamp works well as a background stamp or as the feature stamp.

Supplies:

Stamps: Polka dots & Paisley, Hugs & Wishes
Inks: Wild Wasabi, Bravo Burgandy stamp pads and markers
Cardstock: Wild Wasabi, Bravo Burgandy, White
Also: Burgandy grosgrain ribbon, natural hemp twine

July Stampers’ Club cards

img_3227ca5.jpgThe first month for Stampers’ club was also the night of my Open House for the new catalogue. These are the cards that everyone made. I am really enjoying using the Polka Dots & Paisley set, the paisley and dot stamps are great to make pretty but not floral cards.

Supplies:

Stamps: Polka Dots & Paisley, Hugs and Wishes
Inks: Bashful Blue, Wild Wasabi
Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Wild Wasabi, White, Mellow Moss
Also: Moss gingham ribbon, Circle punches

The mini thank you card was a fun way to use the watercolour pencils and I was pleased with the colour combination given that Taken with Teal is not a big favourite of mine.

img_3228ca6.jpg Supplies:

Stamps: Artfully Asian
Ink: Basic Black
Cardstock: Taken with Teal, Rose Red, Soft Sky.
Also: Blender Pens, Watercolour pencils (Faber Castell)

Cards made by my kids (2)

img_3154acard.jpgHere is a card my 11 year old daughter made using the retired set “Shapes and Shadows”. I really like her division of the card into three sections. Unfortunately the colours in my photo are not very accurate, I am still working on how to best get pictures of the cards.

Supplies:

Stamps: Shapes and Shadows, Hugs and Wishes
Inks: Pumpkin Pie, Elegant Eggplant, Markers
Cardstock: White, Pumpkin Pie, Elegant Eggplant
Also: White grosgrain ribbon, Stampin’ Dimensionals

Cards made by my kids

img_2416bcard1.jpgHere is a card made by my 6 year old son. It is a good example of the kind he likes making at present. He picks a theme, often the theme of the birthday party he is going to and makes a collage. He designed this card all by himself and I just provided the card stock.

Butterfly

img_3139card4.jpgAlthough this is made using a retired set which I have now sold I like the technique so I decided to post it anyway. I like the technique used on the background: embossing the image in clear embossing powder. It is hard to see in the photo but the butterfly has a second layer which is raised by stamping dimensionals.

My first order from the new catalog should arrive today so that will help me cope with missing the cottage, the lake and the friends who are still there.

Supplies:

Stamps: Measure of a Life
Inks: Versamark, Night of Navy & Bravo Burgandy markers
Cardstock: Whisper White, Night of Navy, Bravo Burgandy
Also: Burgandy grosgrain ribbon, clear E.P., stampin’ dimensionals.

Away

I’m away for a week; there will be more cards when I return.

Another look at Spring

happyanniversarycrop.jpgI know this is another Looks like Spring sample, I’ll feature a different set tomorrow. I was pleased with how well the red and coral blended together; I don’t often use the coral but I think it worked well here.

Supplies

Stamps: Looks like Spring, Hugs and Wishes
Cardstock: Whisper white, Cameo Coral, Real Red
Ink: Cameo Coral, Real Red, Not quite Navy
Also: Red gingham ribbon

Second gift tag

img_2962tag2.jpgThis is the second of the gift tags using Looks like Spring.

Supplies:

Stamps: Hugs and Wishes, Looks like Spring
Cardstock: Elegant Eggplant, Pale Plum, Naturals white
Ink: Elegant Eggplant, Pale Plum, Lavender Lace
Also: Hemp Twine, Eggplant grosgrain ribbon, silver brads, circle punch

Gift tags

img_2947tag1.jpgHere is the first of two gift tags using Looks like Spring. I find that when I make a nice gift tag I don’t always have the right wrapping paper, so I am just going to have to start making wrapping paper to match!

Supplies

Stamps: Looks like Spring, Sincere Salutations
Cardstock: Confetti Cream, Purely Pomegranate, River Rock
Inks: Versamark, Rose Red, Rose Red Marker, Regal Rose Marker
Also: Pretty in Pink grosgrain ribbon, Moss gingham ribbon, Hemp twine, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Iridescent ice E.P., Rectangle punch
