My Mother

My dear mother passed away earlier this week and I am now in Australia with my family. She died peacefully with my father and brother by her side. My mother was a faithful, loving, wonderful wife, mother, sister, Nanna and friend. She is now in the presence of Jesus, her saviour whom she loved and trusted throughout her 82 years.  I am so blessed to have had such a loving, prayerful, unselfish role model and friend.

From time to time I comment on Heather’s cards and I do today, not so much to comment on her words which are so true and beautifully expressed or on the photographs which are special reminders of over 56 years which Heather’s mother and I shared, but to express my joy and appreciation of the 119 comments which preceed this one.

So many names I recognize, people who share Heather’s love of cardmaking and clearly care for one another. You are a special fellowship of people, encouraging and supporting one another in the development and use of you talents.

But your love and care clearly reacn beyond your shared gifts , something that has been greatly appreciated by Heather.

On this occasion, however, the love and care has reached out beyond her to embrace her family,, and her brothers and their families,as well as me, her Dad.

Thank you for all the words that you have expressed to Heather and about her, and about her dear Mother Ruth.

May God’s peace and joy be with you all.
