Whatever is true
Posted: June 11, 2013 | Author: Heather | Filed under: CAS, Social Butterfly |17 CommentsOur family is in the midst of June busyness at present. Track meets, tournaments, concerts, assignments, exams and a trip all to be fitted in before the end of June. That’s why things have been a little quiet here on the blog. I made this card a while ago when I was playing around with the Life’s Messages set.
I masked the right side of the card with a large post-it note then added a smaller post-it to make the indent. The butterfly area is sponged and stamped with memento inks.
I am excited to be heading off to Washington DC in a couple of days and looking forward to meeting a few of my blog readers in Reston, VA on the weekend.
While I haven’t had much time to blog lately I have been very encouraged by the kind and generous comments left here by so many of you. I appreciate the time you take to leave me a message. Thank you.
Supplies
Stamps: Life’s Messages, Social Butterfly, Verdant (PB)
Ink: Memento Summer Sky, Elderberry, Sweet Plum (Tsukineko)
As always, just beautiful. Lucky you to go to Reston. I think there is a nice shop there. Never had the chance to check it out. Enjoy Washington, DC. So much to see. If you have the opportunity, go to Mt. Vernon. Well worth the admission. Smithsonian is fantastic, and can’t wait to hear about what you get to see. (We went in early May). Have a grand time. TFS
Love your beautiful cards! Have a great trip ,
This is very beautiful! Have you done tutorials on how you achieve this? I would be interested to know how to access it if you have
I love all your work. You are so talented.
Have a great holiday
Beautiful card! Love the sentiment. ENjoy your trip!
moi aussi j’aime beaucoup ! c’est magnifique !
A truly beautiful card Heather!
This is beautiful, Heather! I love the dappled light effect in the centre of the panel – it’s as though you’re looking up through the trees to the sky. Enjoy your mini break!
Lovely card and colors! Good to be busy but hope you can find some r&r time, soon. 🙂
Such a pretty card, love all the color layers. Have fun in DC.
What a cool idea to mask out space for the sentiment to nestle in! Thanks for your comment on my card – I’m a little further along the 401 than you were at, although I know where you were. I’m close to the 401 right in the centre of Toronto, near Yonge Street (very close to Yorkdale Mall, if you know where that is). Next time you’re down this way, maybe we can meet for coffee!
Such a good scripture verse to use and your techniques in sponging and stamping always inspire! LOVE the colour combos! Have a wonderful time in Washingtton DC!
Love the card! Can’t wait to take your classes on Saturday at Angela’s!
That sentiment indent is really quite brilliant, Heather. Another gorgeous card. Enjoy your travels!
Beautiful card, Heather! Have a safe and wonderful trip to DC and a super time meeting with your fans!!
I’m excited. There was a cancellation on Saturday, so I’ve signed on to attend both classes. Looking forward to meeting you and learning. See you soon. Travel safely.
Your cards are so beautiful. I am really in awe of you. You have an amazing talent and should have a book published along the lines of Francoise Read of Woodware; in my opinion!
