Harmony leaves
Posted: September 13, 2012 Filed under: Foliage Fancy, Penny Black 8 CommentsI am enjoying making Gratitude cards and had fun experimenting with patterns and colours for this one. I used the background stamp, Harmony, which I randomly inked in three colours and stamped on white cardstock. I then embossed the leaves in clear and sponged over the whole panel, in brown and orange. Combining leaves with a tapestry style pattern is a bit unusual but I think it works here.
Cards made for Gratitude challenge: 4
Cards mailed for Gratitude challenge: 0 (Better get on that! I bought postage stamps today so that’s a step in the right direction.)
Supplies:
Stamps: Harmony, Foliage Fancy, Gratitude (Penny Black)
Inks: Memento Rhubarb stalk, Morocco, Rich Cocoa & Versamark (Tsukineko)
Cardstock: Penny Black Mix & Match Papers Fall Festival
Eine wundervolle Karte mit tollem Effekt! Gefällt mir sehr!

Fantastic patterns combo, colors are so perfect with this motif, and a gorgeous card all round. TFS
What great colours, Heather! Beautiful design, too. And yes, buying stamps is definitely a good first (well, second, making cards is the first and fun part!) step. 😉
It’s so elegant! I love the colors and the way the pattern still shows up around the leaves.
wow this is such an great technique thanks for sharing the information, I so want to do this…… gotta go find the right stuff……………….. Where did I move my back ground stamps… LOL
Lovely rich card, Heather. The leaves look like they are in mid-air because of the darker shading around them.
I have just found your blog and think your work is stunning. I don’t do CAS very well, so will be back often to learn some of your techniques. Thanks for sharing
