Queen Anne’s Lace

Queen Anne’s Lace is such a pretty plant and the stamp from Garden Silhouettes makes a very delicate image. I embossed the white images first and then sponged and stamped in the other colours. I also brushed the stamp pad across the base card to help create the illusion of wind blowing the plants.
Supplies:
Stamps: Garden Silhouettes, Fundamental Phrases
Inks: River Rock, Garden Green, Mellow Moss, Versamark
Cardstock: River Rock, Garden Green, Mellow Moss, Whisper White
Circles and stripes
Posted: September 8, 2007 Filed under: All Through the Year Leave a commentI did not have a plan for this card when I started I just knew I wanted the dry embossed circles and some of the designer paper. I played around with it for a while before I settled on the stripes of patterns.
Supplies:
Stamps: Short and Sweet, All Through the Year
Inks: Tempting Turquoise
Cardstock: Tempting Turquoise, Pretty in Pink, White, Petals & Paisley D.P.

Here is another 3D butterfly card. This time there is a card stock layer then a cardstock and a vellum butterfly stuck on top with sticky strip. I’m not that keen on this colour scheme but I might modify it and make the card again.
Supplies:
Stamps: Garden Whimsy, Whimsy wheel
Inks: River Rock, Real Red
Cardstock: River Rock, Real Red, Vanilla, Soft Sky, Vellum
Also: Red gingham ribbon, red brads

The polka dot paper from Petals & Paisley paper makes the perfect background for a sweet “girl” card. Both the wings of the butterfly and the beetle are stamped on vellum and then attached with sticky strip to give the 3D effect.
Supplies:
Stamps: Garden Whimsy
Inks: Old Olive, Rose Red, Pretty in Pink
Cardstock: Purely Pomegranate, Whisper white, Pretty in Pink, Petals & Paisley designer paper
Also: Vellum, Pink gingham ribbon
Celery quilt

I made this card using the Certainly Celery pack from the new single colour sets of Designer paper from Stampin’ Up. The frustrating thing about this paper is that in most cards you can’t see the two beautiful sides. This quilt inspired design is my answer to that problem. I cut one square into strips and then proceeded to glue them down but of course it was near impossible to get them perfectly square so I squared them off like a quilter would after they were glued.
Supplies:
Stamps: Garden Silhouettes, Polka dots And Paisley
Inks: Certainly Celery, Versamark
Cardstock: Certainly Celery, Whisper white, Celery Designer paper
Also: Celery grosgrain ribbon, White e.p.

I completed this card for the featured stamper challenge at Splitcoast Stampers .
The featured stamper on Sunday was Melissa and the card I CASEd was this one. The Certainly Celery designer paper made it easy to make a coordinated patchwork background.
Supplies:
Stamps: Garden Silhouettes, Short and Sweet
Inks: Versamark
Cardstock: Whisper white, Certainly Celery
Also: Certainly Celery Designer papers, white eyelets, white e.p.

Inks: Versamark, Pretty in Pink, Apricot Appeal, Wild Wasabi
Cardstock: Pretty in Pink, Apricot Appeal, Wild Wasabi, White

August Stampers’ Club

I decided to feature the designer paper at Stampers’ club this month with the new Garden Whimsy set. The butterfly is embossed with clear e.p. on White cardstock and then sponged with Pretty in Pink and So Saffron.
Supplies:
Stamps: Garden Whimsy
Inks: Pretty in Pink, So Saffron, Versamark
Cardstock: Old Olive, Pretty in Pink, So Saffron, Whisper White, Petals &Paisley D.P.
Also: Fresh Favourites Eyelets, Pink Gingham ribbon, clear embossing powder.

You can’t see it in this picture but the Not quite Navy cardstock is the new textured cardstock which is just like linen. I tried several times to add to this card but ended up wanting it simple like this. The delicate design of the Queen Anne’s Lace is pretty enough on its own.
Supplies:
Stamps: Garden Silhouettes, Short and Sweet
Inks: Not Quite Navy
Cardstock: Not Quite Navy, Soft Sky, Confetti Cream
