When the case for my glasses broke I picked out a much funkier one than the original provided by the optometrist. The more I looked at it the more I realized that the design would probably make a great panel for a card. So I brought my new case home and sat down with my stamps to recreate the design.
I stamped the little flowers and flourishes in black, the large flourishes in gold, then embossed in gold and added silver embossed flowers. Finally I drew some little lines of dots along some of the flourishes with a gel pen. Then the stamped panel sat on my desk for weeks while I waited for further inspiration. I decided the design needed very little more so just matted in gold and added a little sentiment that works well with flourishes.
Look around at the things you use everyday; you might be surprised at the inspiration you get.

Very pretty and clever the way you CASE’d your eyeglass case. I love your colors and the gold accents. TFS
Awesome use of the inspiration piece! I’d have had to sit for hours to work something off of the glasses case…but it’s gorgeous!
No matter the inspiration, only a genuine Artist could fashion such a magnificent card. It bests your glasses case by about a million miles! 🙂 Amazing how something so glitzy as your card could actually look so conservatively elegant. It takes REAL talent to accomplish that.
Happy Thanksgiving,

Oh my gosh this is gorgeous… so royal, so elegant!!! Beautiful card, Heather.
