Double sponged leaves
Posted: October 18, 2010 Filed under: With Gratitude 4 CommentsI didn’t intend to do any more leaf cards, I really have done a lot lately and as I only have one leaf set, the same images keep appearing! But then an emboss resist idea popped into my head and I had to try it. I randomly sponged some white card with summer sun, pumpkin pie, real rust and a tiny corner of celery. Then I randomly stamped the leaf in versamark and embossed in clear. To cover the whole panel adequately I brayered and sponged in chocolate chip.
Now I am off to try the same thing with blues and snowflakes.
Supplies:
Stamps: With Gratitude
Inks: Versamark, Summer Sun, Pumpkin Pie, Real Rust, Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip
Also: Clear e.p., brayer
Oh, this is so pretty! How nice for us that you had this idea! I’m looking forward to seeing it in snowflakes & blues!
Wow, that brown looks like velvet. Magnificent look I wouldn’t have tried because all my browns look dull when they dry. LOVE that card, and never tire of that leaf.
Such a beautiful technique! This card is amazing. Those leaves just glow.. Love this.
Love your work! Absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for sharing your technique. Can’t wait to try it.
