Wondrous trees
Posted: November 15, 2007 Filed under: Wondrous Gift Leave a commentIt has been a while since I posted my first couple of cards using Wondrous Gift. I promised to post some more samples and finally have some to share. The lack of posts here has not been due to no card making but rather too much card making. On Saturday night I ran, with the help of my girls, a Christmas card making night for the ladies at our church. Each lady made five cards and a handful of tags. As there were twenty-two of us I did quite a bit of cutting last week.
The following card is one they made at the event. I stamped the tree in navy before sponging in Bashful Blue then adding the stars in Burgandy.

Supplies:
Stamps: Wondrous Gift
Inks: Night of Navy, Bashful Blue, Bravo Burgandy
Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Bravo Burgandy, Whisper White
Also: Burgandy grosgrain ribbon, sponge
The event was a success, if everyone’s happy chatter is an indicator. One or two ladies expressed their fear that it was going to be “stressful’ or “beyond them” but ended up finding it very relaxing. To relax the following day I sat down and made the following card for “fun”. The blue is not a true representation of Bashful Blue but there is navy sponging around the edges changing the colour a little. I embossed with silver and then sponged the tree with Bashful Blue and the surrounding area with Night of Navy, leaving the star unsponged so it would look like it was glowing.

Supplies:
Stamps: Wondrous Gift
Inks: Night of Navy, Bashful Blue, Versamark
Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Night of Navy, Brushed Silver, Whisper White
Also: Silver e.p., sponges, blue organdy ribbon
